The weigh ins were held in the Chicago theater in downtown Chicago this afternoon. They went rather quickly with no issues to speak of. Bisping was met with a lot of boos to which he flipped off the crowd. Phil walked out rockin the Penn State singlet and Rashad was met with a mix of boos and cheers.

We then continued on to Benchmark where Jorge Rivera and the Ranger Up guys were hanging out. We hit up two more spots for afterparties before calling it a night!! Fun times in Nashville!

The Weigh ins got underway and Nah-Shon Burrell didn't make weight immediately, but came back and successfully weighed in. it seems that Jordan Mein brought half of Canada with him from the cheers he got when he stepped to the scale. After UFC 141 everyone heading out on the town to hit any of a number of parties. Our first stop was to the Tapout Party at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip.. it was hosted by Chandella Powell, Brittney Palmer, Stephan Bonnar and the Tapout Guys. We stayed there till close to 2am, and upon calling, most had left the other parties, so that meant it was time to hit XS. We got there and the place was STILL packed! Urijah Faber, Bruce Buffer, and more were seen getting the New Years weekend started!

What a way to start the celebrations off than with a fight card of epic proportions?!?!

Everyone successfully made weight today including Nate Diaz after the weighins concluded. Very intense staredown between Cowboy and Nate but Dana was regulating from the get go so there were no fireworks.. Brock didn't stick around make small talk and ran off the stage the minute he stepped off the scale.

Strikeforce Melendez vs Masvidal Weigh In Pics

Strikeforce weighins were held at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. All fighters successfully made weight except for Jeron Peoples who missed weight on a catch weight fight of 179 against Roger Bowling. Roger came in at 170 and Jeron came in at 180.5. He then proceeded to get in Roger's face so we missed getting a faceoff photo.

Roy Nelson & Dan Hardy attracted a HUGE line that would out past the range and down the side of the building. But, that's not the only fighters who showed! After the weigh ins, I took off to dinner with Team Jeremy Stephens at Mia Bella up the street from the hotel. We weren't the only ones with that idea as we ran into Frankie Edgar as well as the Ranger Up crew. Off to Tejas Grill to see the Xyience crew and ran into Team Joe Lauzon and Team Clinch Gear there as well.. Next was the Affliction party at Lucky's for a quick stop, hotel lobby, then off to the preparties. First stop was Tapout and Silverstar's at Escobar and the place was insanely packed with fighters and industry folks alike. We piled 8 into a cab over to the MMA Inc party that had tons of fighters but a lot more room to breathe, thankfully. After the party it was the hotel lobby that was teeming with people not ready to go to bed. It wasn't long till I was calling it a night though. Long day Saturday!!

After a full day of running around (see earlier albums) we took off to the Xyience party at Guadalajara's which was walking distance from the hotel.. The chaotic and fun event was already over by the time I got there, but tell that to all the fighters that were still there!!! We headed back to the hotel where we hopped a ride to the hotel on a giant golf cart! Back at the hotel, the lobby and bar were absolute chaos with fighters, friends, and fans drinking and having a good time..If you look closely, yup that's Jon jones driving the horse and buggy!

Soccer Kicks w/ Kenny Florian & Jose Aldo in the Octagon

Open Workouts were held at the convention center in the octagon where the Fan Expo is being held. Jose Aldo and Kenny Florian competed with onlooking Houston Dynamos players, had a soccer kick contest to see who could keep the ball up the longest. In the end it was determined a tie and said the contest would be continued in the octagon on Saturday Night. Other fighters participating in open workouts yesterday included Brian Stann, Chael Sonnen, Joe Lauzon, Melvin Guillard, Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.

Day 1 in Houston for UFC 136 and the UFC Fan Expo. We got in late in the afternoon so missed the press conference but there was plenty going on around the hotel afterward. We caught up with Team Jeremy Stephens for a little bit of his workout before heading to the hotel lobby bar which FILLED with tons of fight industry people. Note to self- late night food choices are minimal here in Houston!!

Save a few close calls, the weigh ins went off without a hitch. They were held in Spanish Plaza in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The Budlight presence was massive with thousands of Budlight employees in the city for the fights. Afterwards, the weigh ins were followed by a Chevelle concert. Can't wait for tomorrow night!

Strength & Conditioning Workout in New Orleans

Before this session started, they played a game of basketball and followed the session by a game of raquetball.

ProElite Weigh Ins were held in Honolulu Hawaii at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani out by the pool in the amazing summer weather. A huge turnout of media was accompanied by fans trying to find shade at Saturday Night's card all stepped to the scale to weigh in. Joe Riggs weighed in beneath a towel although he came in at 185 exactly so probably didn't need to.

Presser in Paradise: ProElite Press Conference Photos

ProElite held their press conference out by the pool of the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel in Waikiki. Each of the fighters on the main card were introduced and said a few words about the fight and thoughts on their opponent for this Saturday's event. Everyone was really respectful; Joe Riggs stated that he doesn't even count his win against Kendall Grove in their first fight as it was so early on in his career. You can watch this event on Saturday Night streamed live on Sherdog.com at 1am EST, 10pm PST.

The weigh ins went off without so much a hitch as each fighter stepped to the scale and made weigh save for Ivan Mejivar. Seems like this wasn't a surprise to anyone on stage as they continued with their faceoff. Tito came out wearing a Phillies jersey with his name on it, followed by a Punish Your Enemy/Osama Bin Laden shirt, followed by a #Positive shirt.

A no show from Marloes Coenen seemed to be the result of a miscommunication on time. The conference got underway and Hendo even joked about "paying Fedor to fight him" in the guise of his Clinch Gear sponsorship of his opponent.

After the fights, we wandered around the MGM meeting up with various people before heading to Studio 54 for the Dominick Cruz/ Famous Stars & Straps fight after party. The place was jam packed with people for that as well as the bikini contest going on downstairs. We escaped around 1 and continued to Tabu where Wanderlei Silva had his after party; We found team Brian Bowles there celebrating as well. Next stop was Playboy Club at the Palms where Urijah's huge group was found partying. By three am, we had made it to our final stop, XS for the Official UFC Fight Afterparty. We stayed there till the sun came up!!

Before the weigh ins, we hit up the Gun Store where we found Jake Shields signing autographs. Then, after weigh ins we headed over to the Form Athletics signing that was being held by LX Fight Shop inside the Luxor. We arrived when the signing was just ending and the crowd was insane. It was a huge caravan of us that moved through the casino to the FORM private suite party. After celebrating Mark Miller's birthday, the group minus Urijah Faber headed up to MIX Lounge at the top of Mandalay Bay to party and finish off the night!!

2 hours before the weigh ins we started hearing the rumors about Nate Marquardt not being cleared to fight. When weigh ins got underway, Joe Rogan took the stage and said the Nate Marquardt wasn't cleared to fight. Chieck Kongo & Pat Barry were moved up to the main event, and Charlie Brennamen who days before had lost his opponent, was stepping in to fight Rick Story.. What a crazy turn of events!

Pres Obama Takes over the fight hotel- otherwise it's business as usual!

We got to the fight hotel on Friday morning to go through security to get into the Hotel. Security INTO the hotel?? Seems that Barack Obama was staying in the hotel the evening before and was set to leave that day.. A bunch of the fighters got to work out next to him in the gym... Other than secret service agents everywhere, it was business as usual for the fighters. We took off with Matt Mitrione to visit his college football buddy, Chukki Okobi who went from football to running a Bed & Breakfast/Wedding Planning service. After we took a tour of his mansion, we went to grub at FatHeads where we definitely overate.. Those guys headed back to the fight hotel and we made our way to the Pirates/Red Sox game to finish the night...

Wanderlei was there finishing up the final weeks of his training camp before he faces Chris Leben at UFC 132. Field Trip Day with Xtreme Couture to Exotics Racing!

We headed out to Exotics Racing on Tuesday in the first day of Field Trips for UFC 130 Fight Week. Ryan Couture, Martin Kampmann, Tyson Griffin, Evan Dunham, as well as Cyrille Diabate and Miss Rara all hit the track. First was a 30 minute briefing session before they were fitted for helmets and then placed on the track. What a fun time!

Strikeforce Daley vs Diaz Weigh In Pics

Of course they do! It's their way of making yesterdays weigh ins that much more exciting!

So Strikeforce Weigh Ins were held at the Crowne Plaza this afternoon. I have to admit it was a little weird to see all the UFC PR People running things instead of the Strikeforce faces I am used to.

At 5pm on the dot, the weigh ins got underway with Scott Coker a very visible part of them for the first time. All the guys successfully made weight although Melendez and Daley both weighed in behind a towel. Diaz and Daley had a very intense faceoff with Coker stepping in to keep the two separated. And Beerbohm impressed all by wearing not 1, not 2, but 3 pairs of fancy pants courtesy of his lovely mother!

A trip to AMA Fightclub w/ Mike, Jim & Dan Miller

I took a trip to AMA Fightclub in Whippany, NJ last Thursday as I was in town for the Strikeforce event. AMA Fightclub is home to a number of Top UFC & former UFC fighters including Dan & Jim Miller, & Charlie Brennamen. Led by their coach, Mike Constantino, this strip mall location has more than meets the eye! On top of producing top competitors, the club boasts a large kids program as well. And an adorable daschund & team mascot named Max. Thank you for welcoming me to your gym!!

Friday morning a large crew of us including 6 UFC fighters (Chuck Liddell, Brian Stann, Matt Serra, Dominic Cruz, Jim Miller, & Frankie Edgar) were picked up from the fight hotel. We were escorted on base where we spent the day going from activity to activity. Shooting pistols and rifles, military dog & tazer demonstrations, and training at the Fight House. The Fight House is where hand to hand combat is taught to the soldiers. We spent the better part of the weekend with the crew that does all the training.

It would have to be Ryan's 21st Bday Celebration at Moon Nightclub inside the Palms in Las Vegas!

Ryan Sheckler celebrated his 21st birthday with a party at Moon Nightclub at The Palms in Las Vegas. We spotted a few fighters on hand including Diego Sanchez who was also celebrating his birthday. Performing that night was LMFAO followed by a surprise performance by Snoop Dogg! UFC's own Dana White joined the crew up on stage at the end of Snoop's performance. Among others I spotted were Adrienne Maloof from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Jake Shields, Chandella Powell, & Arianny Celeste.

Cowboy & Leonard's pig roast pics from last night

Leonard Garcia and Donald Cerrone headed to 24 hour yesterday morning to shed the last few lbs before weigh ins. Donald had a mere 3 lbs to go, while Leonard had about 6; both lost it quickly and we were in route back to the hotel in no time!

Cowboy's grandmother held a pig roast at her home in Broomfield and was host to a full house. Fighters, Family and friends were all on hand to break the fast with Cowboy Cerrone and Leonard Garcia after they weighed in. As if all that food wasn't enough, we continued on to Bar louie for some wings after we were done!
